Meet Katie
For years, I loved movement, fitness, and yoga — but despite working out consistently and trying to eat “healthy,” my body stopped feeling like my own.
I was exhausted, gaining weight without understanding why, struggling with low energy, and feeling frustrated that the things that used to work no longer did. Eventually, I discovered I was dealing with insulin resistance and low-grade PCOS.
That diagnosis changed everything.
Through learning how to properly fuel my body, strength train intentionally, support my hormones, and slow down when my body needed recovery, I completely changed the way I approached health and fitness.
Now, as a yoga teacher, strength coach, corrective exercise specialist, and nutrition coach, I help women build strength, confidence, energy, and balance in a way that actually feels sustainable.
Velvet Strength was created to show women that they do not have to choose between being soft and being strong. You can be both.
This is fitness rooted in strength, femininity, recovery, confidence, and long-term wellness — not punishment.

Do I need to be experienced in fitness or yoga to join?
Not at all. Velvet Strength is designed for all levels, whether you’re completely new to fitness or returning after time away. Workouts and yoga classes can be modified to meet you where you are.
Is this only for weight loss?
No. While many clients want to lose fat, our focus is also on building strength, improving energy, supporting hormones, increasing confidence, and creating sustainable habits that actually feel good long-term.
Do you work with women who have PCOS or insulin resistance?
Yes. As someone who has personally navigated insulin resistance and PCOS, I understand the frustration of feeling like your body is working against you. My coaching focuses on realistic nutrition, strength training, recovery, and consistency — not extremes.
